Project description:
The subject of the construction works was the construction of a reservoir (including complete technological equipment) and related structures on a unified sewage network. The total volume of the reservoir is 8 600 m3. The reservoir serves to protect the Svratka watercourse and the Svitavy flume from the introduction of pollution from the sewage network during rain. When the flow rate increases above the set value, the wastewater begins to overflow into the reservoir. The incoming water is led to the middle part of the reservoir (internal retention). After the inner retention is filled, the water overflows into the outer retention.

Both parts of the reservoir are equipped with 3 pumps designed to drain the reservoir and with 1 small pump used to completely deplete the reservoir. Another pump is installed in the inner retention for mixing the reservoir. The drainage of the reservoir takes place by means of an overflow. After the reservoir is filled, the water in the system swells and overflows into the recipient at both relief chambers (OK-B and OK-KN). At the outflow of the relief chamber, screens are installed on both the river and reservoir sides that protect the pumps and the recipient. Before the reservoir inflow, gravel traps installed are installed in the gutters.

An accumulation tank for settled water can be used to wash the reservoirs. The tank is filled with settled water from the outer retention. If the outer retention is not filled, the tank can be filled from public water supply. To rinse both the inner and outer retention, 2 pumps are installed in the tank, 1 pump for each section.

Valve shafts are installed on the discharges from both parts of the tank with a system that measures the pumped volume. An accumulation shaft for sludge removal is built on the discharge from the inner retention in front of the underpass under the Svitavy flume. To enter both parts of the tank, there is a staircase with access from the operator’s building. The staircase provides access to the space with spare source of electricity. Within the operator’s building, a transformer station room, HV substation, LV substation, rooms for an alternative source of electricity, a service room, a clean and dirty warehouse and sanitary facilities have been built.

As part of the construction of the retention reservoir, an entrance to the complex was made (asphalt access road). The complex is fenced and landscaping is carried out so that the area of the retention reservoir does not disturb the possibility of using the area. As part of the construction, 1 200 m of new water supply lines DN 25 and DN 300 were also built.
