Waterproofing of traffic and civil engineering structures

Insulation with asphalt sheets
We have been insulating traffic and civil engineering structures using asphalt sheets since 1997. During such implementations, we use only insulation systems approved by the Czech Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and The Czech Railway Administration. We use asphalt modified sheets by: KVK Parabit, Icopal, Axter. When carrying out insulation projects, we follow especially the standards ČSN 73 6242 TKP 21 and TNŽ 73 6280. Road bridges are made mainly of constructed using systems with an anchoring and sealing layer. The insulation is protected with poured asphalt. Railway bridges are equipped with penetration coating with full-area melting-on of insulation to the substrate or loosely laid. Insulation protection consists of, depending on the individual SVI - geotextile types, hard protection with concrete or poured asphalt or extruded polystyrene.

Sprayed polyurethane insulation
We have been providing sprayed insulation since 2002. During such implementations, we use only insulation systems approved by the Czech Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and The Czech Railway Administration. When carrying out insulation projects, we follow especially the standards ČSN 73 6242 TKP 21 and TNŽ 73 6280, TP 164. We use materials by BASF (Masterseal system) and SIKA (Sikalastic system). Insulation is applied mechanically on blasted concrete or steel substrate equipped with anchoring epoxy concrete and sand. Insulation is applied in thicknesses of 2 mm for road structures and 5 mm for railway structures. On road bridges, the insulation is protected with poured asphalt. On railway bridges, the insulation is protected with geotextile or without protection (according to the application).

We also apply sprayed insulation on footbridge systems for cyclists and pedestrians. In this case, the sprayed insulation is still provided with an adhesive layer with sand. The entire surface is unified with UV coating. The choice of shade depends on the requirements of the investor. Most often used colour is RAL 7032 – gray.

One of the most significant advantages of sprayed insulation is the application without joints and the option to insulate even complex details.

Tarco Qubik NT, NTF directly drivable and directly walkable gravel systems

We have been implementing the Tarco Qubik NT, NTF directly drivable and directly walkable systems since 1994. During implementation, we follow the standards ČSN 73 6242 TKP 21 and TP 211. This epoxy-based system is manufactured by Gjerlev a/s in Denmark and our company is its exclusive importer and applicator in the Czech Republic. This insulation is used both on road bridges in the thickness of 8-10 mm where it replaces the classic composition of insulation of asphalt sheet and pavement, as well as on footbridges for pedestrians and cyclists in the thickness of 4-5 mm
