Project description:
The project involved the construction of a new double-track railway bridge bringing the railway over the Buk stream in the first clearance. The other clearances are inundant.
The newly constructed bridge structure is a steel grate structure - a continuous beam with four sections 17 + 23 + 23 + 17 m, separate for each track with a gravel bed. The structure for each track consists of 4 beams with transverse reinforcement, the track bed is made of steel. There is space for cable routing outside the rail bed. The structure is mounted on each support on a pair of pot bearings. Fixed bearings are located in the middle of the length of the structure on the middle pillar. The substructure is made as a massive, reinforced-concrete and deep-founded on large-diameter piles.
The new supporting structure of the bridge was manufactured in the Firesta production plant. It was transported to the construction site in assembly units according to the project documentation. For the final assembly, an assembly platform was set up on the bridgehead first for the 1st track and after the completion of the work for the 2nd track. The individual assembly units were placed on the assembly platform using an AD 300s struck crane. After the assembly, the steel structure was pushed into the clearance, lowered and moved transversely to the designed position. Temporary PIŽMO structures and retractable Firesta equipment were used for the extension and handling of the structures. The work on the steel structure for the 2nd track was carried out in a similar manner. After mounting the steel structure on the bearings, the structures were equipped with cable trays, side fairings and expansion joints. The bottom and sides of the rail gutter of the steel structure were insulated with full-area spray seamless insulation.
The substructure consists of reinforced concrete pillars and supports with parallel abutments founded on large-diameter piles. The determination of the length and number of piles under the individual foundations was determined on the basis of the results of tests on a non-system pile carried out prior the start of the construction of the substructure. Insulation from molten asphalt sheets was installed on the backs of the supports and abutments, and this is protected with geotextiles and a 500 mm thick stone plane. The working joints between the foundations and the shafts of the abutments and pillars are also provided with fused asphalt sheets in a 1.0 m wide sheet. The other areas under the terrain are provided with asphalt coatings. The supports and support cones are protected by a gabion wall 1.0 m wide, 1.0 m high, 65 m long, with a stone backfill. To access the bearings, pillar handles and ladder supports were built along the stair supports.
- Bridge length: 97,80 m
- Bridge width: 11,50 m
- Bridge height above the terrain: 3,80 m
