Project description:
The works also included the dismantling of temporary building structures for assembly, pushing and lowering. The load-bearing structure of the bridge consists of a composite reinforced-concrete box girder with wide-open cantilevers.
The bridge has 11 spans. Individual span lengths: 33.0 + 45.0 + 2 x 48.0 + 4 x 57.0 + 48.0 + 45.0 + 33.0 m. The beam consists of a lower flange, a pair of sloping walls and two upper flanges. The steel part of the cross-section also includes a longitudinal member in the axis of the box and two outer longitudinal members carrying a cantilevered part of the plate. The middle longitudinal member is supported by tubular diagonals inside the box, and the outer longitudinal members are extended by tubular struts from the lower waist of the main beam. The bridge has a horizontal curve radius of R = 900 m, as well as the transition, and is straight from the P6 support onward.
The production and coatings of the bridge took place in the Firesta bridge plant. The bridge was welded step by step on the pre-assembly platform from the individual parts into the complete cross-section, coated and pushed. In the longitudinal direction, the bridge was divided into 25 parts. In the transverse direction, the structure was divided into two parts. The left part was extended from Support 1 in the length of 213.3 m, the right part was extended from the Support 10 in the length of 316.3 m. The total length of the extension was 529.6 m. Assembly platforms, including a gantry crane, were made for the assembly and extension of the steel structure.
