Project description:
In order to reduce the impacts of noise, a noise barrier was built on the outer edges of the new bridge. The 3.0 m high noise barrier was built on the outer ledge of the left bridge
The noise barriers on the bridge connect to the barriers along the motorway.
The structure consists of anchoring elements, steel columns and panels preventing the transmission
of noise from the motorway bridge. The columns of the noise barriers were made of steel profiles HEA 160 made of steel S235JR and were spaced 2.0 m apart. The panels are clear, translucent, thickness. 15 mm with inserted fibres 30 to 50 mm apart
The noise barrier consists of a total of 59 steel columns, between which panels are inserted.
In the structure, 2 expansion joints have been implemented. The columns in the joints are specially modified to allow the expansion movement of the panels. At the same time, the sliding bearing provides insulation to protect against the transmission of stray currents.
The whole structure has an average slope of 2.7% in the longitudinal direction. In the transverse direction, the columns are mounted horizontally thanks to the slope compensation by means of anchoring elements. The steel posts are anchored using base plates and four M24 screws. The anchor plate is mounted on a leveling layer of polymer mortar.
In the lower part of the noise barrier panels, a rubber profile is screwed over the pressure rail to sound-tightly seal the gap between the panels and the ledge surface. To protect against lightning, all columns are conductively interconnected. The connection is made with CY50 cables attached by a nut to the threaded rods welded to the columns and to the pressure bar at the bottom of the barrier.
Total length of the noise barrier is 116 m.
