Project description:
DW [Regional Road] No. 969 provides an important international connection for truck transport in the southern part of Poland between the cities of Nowy Targ and Nowy Sącz and is also one of the main access roads to the historic city of Zakopane and an to important tourist destination – the Polish part of the Tatras.
The scope of the work included:
- Demolition of the original bridge with a length of 108.30 m and a width of 11.25 m.
- Implementation of large-diameter piles, footings, supports, pillars and reinforced concrete rails,
- Installation of multi-directional pot bearings on A and F axis supports.
- Assembly of steel VFT beams.
- Implementation of a filigree and reinforced-concrete slab.
- Hot insulation of the bridge deck – 1 926 m2 together with protection under the road with hardened asphalt – 1 332 m2.
- Implementation of monolithic ledges together with a bituminous surface modified with polymers – 663 m2.
- Installation of bridge drainage – 332 m and traffic safety equipment railing barrier, bridge barrier and bridge railing in a length of 178 m.
- Implementation of a wearing course made of SMA 6526.50 m2.
- Surface milling at driveways up to th. 0.60 m – 5080 m2.
- Demolition of the substructure 5 842 m2 and road embankments 28 940 m3.
- Implementation of rainwater drainage in the length of 1620 m, road embankment reinforced with geosynthetics 30 260 m3, soil stabilized with cement – 4 720 m2, construction layers together with asphalt surfaces – 5 270 m2.
- Implementation of a roundabout together with two bus islands.
- Construction of sidewalks 2 365.50 m2.
- Installation of traffic signs together with safety equipment – steel road barriers 462 m and segmental fencing 175 m.
- Road work on KS 969 (KR4) ) 529.0 m together with Karpacka Street (KR1) 57.70 m.
- Field work: Road lighting – 1,512 m, reconstruction of low-voltage cable lines 94 m and telecommunication lines 130 m.
