Description:
The road is located in the Prešov region and extends into the districts of Bardejov and Svidník. The road section starts at km 74.000 in front of the bridge on the road No. I/77, bridge No. 77-059, in the cadastral area of Smilno and ends at km 96.450 at the roundabout with the road I/73 in Svidník. The construction continues from the roundabout on the road I/73 towards the Kapišová crossroads, where the road section in question ends. The total length of the road section is 25 740.00 m.
The project included the reconstruction of the road and the individual structures on it. It was divided into nine objects and included:
- reconstruction of roads in the financial volume of 15 447 489.40 EUR without VAT
- 18 bridge structures in the financial volume of 2 654 194.24 EUR without VAT,
- sidewalks in the financial volume of 217 587.55 EUR without VAT,
- lighting of pedestrian crossings in the financial volume of 90 828.72 EUR without VAT,
- works on a rain sewage system in the financial volume of 5 938.71 EUR without VAT.
The earthworks consisted mainly of the removal of vegetation layers (dehumidification), the replacement and improvement of the subsoil, the establishment of a foundation, and excavation of the road body and the construction of a base layer under the road. Quarry stone, gravel and aggregate were used in many sections to replace and improve the subsoil.
Asphalt debris was milled-off from the roads, which was replaced by asphalt in a total area of 191 000 m2. Soil in the volume of 130 000 m3 was excavated on the sections. Embankments were also made in a volume of 115 000 m3.
As part of the works on the road section, the bridge structures were also reconstructed, which were in a very bad to emergency condition, before the reconstruction. The bridges were reconstructed to various extents, from remediation works, through the replacement of ledge to the replacement of the entire bridge structure.
The project also included the construction and reconstruction of new sidewalks with a total length of 2 580 m. The width of the sidewalks was set at 1.50 – 2.00 m and the sidewalks are separated from the road I/77 by curbs or drainage ditches.
The project also included the reconstruction of drainage facilities – culverts. A total of 92 of them were on the construction site, of which 23 were under the road.
As part of the reconstruction, the construction of retaining walls (150 m) and the modification of the rain sewer (330 m) were also carried out. In addition to the entire road section, ditches with a total length of 13 200 m were also worked on.
